Valdora opened his eyes and let out a breath as he was greeted by the site of a dark cell, lit only by the orange glow of the forcefield and the lights beyond. He pushed himself up off the hard pillow and looked over at the guard, the same species as the ones that had come aboard with Malak. All he remembered was the transport and then a sharp pain in the back of his shoulder. Suddenly the doors beyond opened and Malak came out of the corridor light. The guard bowed to him as he passed. "Ah, your awake" Malak said as he walked up to the forcefield with hands behind his back. Valdora groaned as he sat up. "Sorry about the stun but somehow I doubt I could get you in this cell willingly. I'm sure from your noble speech back there that you would be the type to go out fighting. But of course...you are no use to me dead. You should be honored that I traded so many of the Heros crew for you." "Why?" Valdora finally managed to say "you had us beaten until those other ships showed up." "Those were a small resistance group that belong to the planet under our jurisdiction. A minor problem, rest assured that will be dealt with." Valdora chuckled "if they are such a small threat then why am I here? Why isn't my ship destroyed?" Malak seemed to ignore him "I would consider telling me what I need to know Captain. Helping me find your vessel would compel me to spare the lives of your crew. If you don't......then it will take longer and I will destroy the Enterprise along with those manege creatures that call themselves a rebellion." "You don't expect me to help you. If you could find them I wouldn't be alive." "I will not torture you Captain. I have no need to. I see from your complexion that you probably havent fed in the last day or so. Now for a human or even one of us that might be bearable somewhat. But for you....days will turn you into a savage beast of hunger won't they Valen?" Valdora looked at him with a frown "oh yes. Your computer hack did cost you many lives but you did get some information from our database, unfortunately for you it went both ways. That combined with the physical I had performed on you when you arrived told me all I need to know about your species." "I have control" Valdora said quietly through clenched teeth "if I did not I never would have left my people." "We shall see how long that holds. Consider my offer Captain. The lives of your crew and the red cells you crave for some information." Malak turned swiftly and left the same way he came. Valdora put his head back up against the wall. He would rather die than become a slave to his biology.

OOC: This should be okay.
Team one finally got to the bridge after going over a few decks, and tagging critical patients for transport to sickbay, having deactivated night-vision in the process. Having entered, they witnessed the wreck that was the bridge, with mostly fallen personnel there. Still, they continued their task.
Gordon began to check out each one of the bridge crew with his basic medical knowledge. "Where's the Captain?" he asked as he checked out the XO. "Gone, beamed out just as we were rescued." was the reply Gordon got as he nodded, "Alright sir, you check out, not too badly hurt, I'd recommend going to sickbay when things quiet down a bit."
Gordon moved on to the Tactical Officer, checking her out for injuries, and administering first aid to two cuts he found on her right arm. "There you are, just like new. Any further problems talk to Doctor Foley."
He attended to the Helm Officer next, the young Ensign having suffered a gash on the right side of her head, but thankfully it wasn't deep. His fingers worked with quiet precision as he administered first aid, applying a small dressing to the wound to help the body heal itself. "Alright Ensign, take it easy for the next little bit unless duty-related, check into sickbay if you have any further issues."
The Science officer was the next person he checked out, and thankfully she had escaped the worst of it, the black dust on her face and a small cut on her neck being the only exceptions. He knelt beside her console and administered first aid on the small cut, patching it up. Gordon then reached behind him, taking out a clean field cloth and his water canteen, pouring a little of the latter onto the cloth before applying it gently to her face and wiping off the black dust off of most of her face and around her eyes. At her incredulous look, he whispered in her ear, "Its not good for you if that stuff says on your face for any length of time, besides, I honestly think that you have a pretty face that deserves to shine." He smirked at her reaction, and then stood up, nodding to her, "Alright you check out ma'am, anything further can be attended to in sickbay."
He had just begun to move on to the next person when his partner's voice cut through his thoughts. "Randy, get over here." He ran down the short ramp and over to her side. As if anticipating his unspoken question, Rosa spoke, "Lifesign under this pile of debris, faint." The two nodded as they began to clear the debris off of the crewman, then Gordon checked for a pulse and put his ear to the man's windpipe. "Low pulse...oh no." he said, the pulse just having stopped.
He sprung into action, being unable to perform any advanced procedures due to the fact that the medical equipment was entirely in sickbay. Instead, he began to perform a basic measure known as CPR, kneeling while locking his hands together and doing a pumping motion over his heart, then giving the person air via mouth-to-mouth. After a few minutes, Rosa spoke, "His pulse is back, albeit faint." Gordon nodded then put his ear to the man's windpipe, hearing slow breaths. "Alright, he's stabilized for now, tag him for transport to sickbay." Rosa nodded and soon the man de-materialized.
It was only then that Gordon turned to look at the viewscreen. "Wow. What's that, our rescue party?" he said, interjecting some humor into his question.
****
Team two moved down from the deck they had split up from, tagging wounded friendlies for transport and administering aid as best they could. Now, they were near the door to the Computer Core. "I heard over the comm chatter that Lieutenants Hikari and Figueroa are in there." Griggs said, and Gaz nodded to him, "That's why we're going there mate." "Roger that."
They tried the main door to the Core, but it was locked shut, no doubt from the damage. "Let's find another way in." Gaz said, making his way towards the side door. The team had more luck with this one, as it would open, the two men entering to see the AI and the two naval officers on the floor. "Check them out." "Roger that."
Griggs attended to the Operations Chief, only finding the cut on his head. "Man, you hit that pretty hard. Let me patch that up for ya." He said, projecting a sense of confidence as he administered first aid. "Alright, you're good, I'd recommend going to sickbay if there's any other issues." he said, before turning to the AI and smiling, "I'd examine you ma'am, but you seem to be just fine." he said, putting a note of emphasis on the last word as the AI smirked, "Thanks to Lieutenants Hikari and Figueroa I am in decent shape. You aren't so bad yourself though." The Marine Sergeant just laughed and took a position nearby.
Gaz checked out Hikari, administering first aid to the various injuries she had, which were somewhat light considering the circumstances. "There you are ma'am, if there's anything else you should visit sickbay." "Thank you Sergeant." was the reply as he got to his feet.
"Communications are back up we think, you two should check in when you can." Gaz said simply. "We're off to continue our mission." At the expression of thanks the man just shrugged, "Just doing our duty."
"Is it just me, or are those two going out?" Griggs asked the British-born man as they exited the Core, but not before being over-heard. "Too right mate, after all, they look like they would be, but we'll probably never know for sure. Let's move out." "Roger that."
And with that Team two went on their way, helping out more crew as they went.

Logan got up from the science station he was at. He walks over to the command chair and sits down he takes a second to get his barrings. He looks up at the screen to see the magnificent ships that had the enteriprise in tow. They were different then anything he had ever seen. He shook his head and looked around" Durn are communications online yet?" Logan asked as he looked at the ships again.

Brian tapped his console. "Yes sir. But its shipwide only. Our long range communications are offline. Short range communications are online but the signal is very weak."

Exhausted , Foley and two other sickbay staff finally finished working on Chief Jo'rek. The ribs had been repaired along with most of the toher breaks but it would be a while before the Romulan could use his body full again. Foley sighed as he regarded the now unconcious Romulan.
"You have been very lucky" he said quietly.
At that moment Commander Logans request came through. Foley rubbed his tired eyes and regarded the scene around him. Things had quieted down slgihtly but there was still an immense amount of work to do. He called over his third in command.
" You're in charge whilst I go to a meeting. I won't belong. Any major problems call me back immediatelty . And make sure Dr Nomonor is alright" Foley said and headed out of sickbay and to the Observation Lounge where he took a seat.

Anyone entering her room would find her with her helmet on... the visor on with her sprawled out on the floor on her back, fixated in gaze towards the ceiling as she reached upwards and towards whatever she was looking at with one hand, something on her visor perhaps, the rest of her disconnected armor flickering... still gathered up neatly, the destruction that effected most of the ship had only knocked a few things over in this room.
A broken potted plant lay on the table, partially put back together no doubt as it sat, semi-lateral from missing some of the soil in the pot, evidently scattered on the floor near the table, any chairs in the room were flipped and turned over, she hadn't cared for them like the plant, a living thing, to put it back in its rightful place...

Jade smiled warmly at Gordon as he Lent back from her. She was snapped out of it when Logan called for the briefing. She nodded as the first officer passed her and stood, walking down across the wires, bulkheads and char that used to be the main bridge and into the room. As she arrived she sat in her chair and let out a sigh at she sat, staring at the table. Now they would find out who was alive and who wasn't.

"Well from what I can see they arn't answering to hails and they haven't called us yet. I think we are assuming to much that they are our saviours. Who knows where they are taking us. Until they contact us we have to assume they are hostile sir" Jade had a bitterness to her voice as she spoke.

OOC: Hope you don't mind Hikari
As the Marines left the Core their comment was overheard which made the couples face blush but before they could go further the call for the Staff meeting came through. It would be a while before they arrive due to the ship being in chaos.
Eventually they made it to the lounge where most of the staff as already gathered. The memory of before still fresh in their mind but the ship was in chaos and personal life is now second. Jade spoke up voicing her opinion. Indeed they are a unknown variable. So far all he knew was Enterprise is up and running and that Hikari was safe and sound. That was all that mattered.
"With the help of Hikari-san we were able to reestablish Enterprise to the rest of the ship but I do not know if any memory or subroutines were lost without doing a proper diagnostic."

Foley looked at Commander Logan. The cut above his eye had stopped bleeding but his hair was matted with dried blood which was smeared halfway down his face from the wound and he looked exhausted.
" Commander , sickbay is overflowing. My staff and I are barely coping. Any more casualties and we won't be able to treat people fast enough and more crew members will die. Without Dr Nomonor I can only do so much."

Post by 1st Lieutenant Kerak on Nov 24, 2009 9:04:22 GMT -5
Kerak had gotten himself taken care of and now rushed with purpose to the Observation Lounge. He ran across the bridge, stopping in his tracks and stared out at the screen where something large was beginning to emerge on the horizon. He shook his head and turned to the crewman on watch. "I will inform them" he nodded and then remembered the reason for his urgency. Kerak walked up to the door and chimed it, waiting impatiently before being permitted to enter. "Doctor!" He called out to Foley as he entered "Major Shepard was aiding the rescue effort on Deck 9 and a conduit overloaded. He is being taken to the sickbay in critical condition" he said with pants of heavy breathing "You better get down there." "Why not just call him on the com?" Asked Logan. "Engineering reports internal communication has momentarily failed. Also sir...well I think you are all needed on the bridge. We are coming up to....somthing."
