Post by Lt Greg Campbell on Dec 20, 2009 7:05:59 GMT -5
Greg was burrowing in the engineering with some success, he had a general ship power at 60%, a real improvement from the 45% that they were running off 2 days ago. His engineernig crew had done nothing but miricles and it looked like they may have taken a leaf out of his own book, by not allowing him to order them away again (regardless of the threats he made). As he wrapped up some interal system checks, he headed for the confrence room for the staff meeting. He had a few things to say, and a major advancement......He walked into the room to an air of uncomfortable silence
"Good morning all, I trust we all slept better?"

"Far more secure Lieutenant" Valdora nodded "how are the repairs proceeding? When will we be ready to head out?"

Foley sat in the meeting not really paying attention to what was being said. Despite it being days since he gave his blood to Captain Valdora , he still felt weak and irritable. He sat slumped in his chair barely registering what was going on around him.

Valdora listened to Greg's report on power output and ships functions with a nods. "As soon as we are at 80% functional we will head out. I want this ship prepared for battle. Get the fighters on line, get the marines ready and get all weapon systems back on line. Report all status reports to Commander Logan. Dismissed" As they group began to disperse Valdora looked over and called to Foley. "Doctor one moment please."

Foley , nodded and waited silently for the crew to leave. Leaning on the table for support , as getting up still made him dizzy.
" How can I help you , Sir? Are you not feeling well?" Asking the question sent a chill down the Doctors spine. It was the first time since he started practicing medicine that he had asked that question of someone.... and had not really cared about the answer.
He found himself feeling dead about his job, he just didn't care. And it frightened him that he didn't.

"You seemed....distracted today. If there is anything I can help you with...after what you did for me" Valdora stood at the end of the table over his chair, his eyes narrowed at the Doctor.

Foley , didn't meet the Captains look.
" I'm fine , Sir. And saving lives is my job I do it all the time. Think nothing of it."
Foley stumbled and muttered the end of his sentence trailing off almost incoherently.

"It's nothing , Sir. Really. I'll be fine in a few days. Best to just leave me to it." Foley said. " I believe I'm needed down in sickbay Sir. Am I dismissed?" Foley said really not wanting to go to sickbay not wanting to remain in Valdoras presence either.

Valdora rose his head so as to look over at the Doctor with an inquisitive look. "Dismissed" he spoke and watched the Doctor leave with interest.

Faith would meet Foley at the door, frowning some and furrowing her brow a bit.
"I know you feel it important to go to such meetings, but you're not in a condition to work... now come with me back to sick bay, no butts." she gave quickly, looking back at the captain with a glance before she began to usher off the doctor. She had not yet returned to uniform.
"You are on bed rest in your room or in sick-bay until further notice... you're not yourself, and you're not healthy anymore. But it was noble all the while. Where would you rather stay, Foley? you're stable enough to be in your quarters." she gave to the doctor. as she led him to the turbolift.

Ensign Thomas Jones was in Main Engineering, Keeping things ticking over whilst the chief was at the briefing. He'd been going round the various Sub-divisions of the Department and collated a status report from the rest of the Personnel, who were currently, at least until the chief got back, under his command. Thomas himself was working on a Core Diogositc, ensuring that the ships engines would be ready, should they be needed.

Jor'ek was currently ahead on his personel reports and as such after a long few days of reassigning crew he was working on the bridge to help the crew prepare for battle. He noticed Sarah Hunter enter the bridge as he walked up past the science station and to the back upper level of the Command Deck. "The Captain will not be happy you missed a staff meeting again Mam" he spoke to her and walked down to the ops console to check its status.

Post by Commander L'Kor on Dec 20, 2009 22:33:42 GMT -5
L'Kor had taken Command of the Klingon surviours when his Commander had been killed in the raid on the Covenant ship. Now he thirsted for battle and the Captain had granted he and his crew a permant detachment within their marines. He however was to report to the Commanding Officer Major Gordon at all times. This did not sit well, nor did serving along side Romulans on this, the ship that had become a collection of many surviours and lost souls of many species. Finally he walked into the office of Major Gordon, noticed the Romulan Kerak already there dicussing stragey before thumping his chest in salute. "I and my men are ready to kill our enemies Major!" He belted out.

Gordon nods and returns the salute. "Mr. L'Kor," he said, easily pronouncing the Klingon's name in the way their language dictated, "That's good to hear, and good to see you, we were just in the middle of developing strategies for the coming battle ahead." He turned and indicated Lieutenant Kerak. "This is First Lieutenant Kerak, the Marine detachment's XO. While I don't expect any handshakes to go on between the two of you, I do expect you to be professional so that I don't have to remind you of what I said aboard that shuttle."
