Captains Log Stardate 92966.8
We remain, as we have for the past three days, docked in the Cai'Nari's mother ship undergoing extensive repairs. Lieutenant Cambell has informed me that the materials and devices being used are the result of several species technology all being patches into bring the Enterprise back from the dead. Main power has been restored and life on board is beginning to return to normal....somewhat. Many hundreds of our people are dead and we have had to restructure many of the crew to replace those gone and those who turned out to be not what they seemed. I have also been informed that Ensign Langely has awoken from her coma. I already am dreading the moment she finds out what her former lover allegiances are. Our Slipstream drive has been totally destroyed but in helping our good Samaritans we may have an answer for that too.
"Hyperspace drive. The Cai'nari use a version of it at short range but their long range devices were taken or destroyed over a decade ago" Valdora stood before his senior staff in the observation lounge "however a hub they created....here" he points on the star chart behind him "has several conduits that may allow them to return to their galaxy. The technology will also help us get transwarp speeds again. I can not tell you how useful that will be." Valdora sat at the table. "Opinions and suggestions people" he looked around the table.

Elizabeth walked out of the Ships sickbay, she'd been given some basic clouths to wear, so she figured she should head back to her Quarters and put on her uniform. A Half-hour later she was sitting in her quarters, a cup of raktagino in her hand and reading a helpful padd that the doctors had put together for her, to keep her up to date with curret events. She sighed as she read the last entrey. She finished off the Drink, and figured that she report back for duty.

Jade was the first to speak. "Well their repairs....I have never seen anything like it. But we should still be careful about entering into another species war. I believe the prime directive does apply sir."

Jo'rek sat at the far end of the table opposite the Captain. He looked over at Jade as she spoke. "Lieutenant. I may not completly understand this 'prime directive' Starfleet has but what I do understand is that this ship was a limping hulk before they came a long and helped us. It would have taken us a decade to reach home, if we ever made it at all in this conflicted space. We have a chance to not only strike a blow to those that killed hundreds of our people and did this to our ship but also to have a chance of continuing on our mission. How can we turn away from that? They attacked us first after all."

"That is not in dispute Chief but we shouldn't scarifice our principals to obtain our goals" she replies.

The Major stood and offered his opinion. "I believe that peace should be maintained through strength. We are already involved in another's war, but a show of strength here may make our passage, whichever way we go, easier."

"I fail to see what principals we would be sacrificing. Is it immoral for us to defend ourselves?" He asked with arms wide.

Makoto leaned back in her chair, sighing. This was going to be another one of those meetings, she thought, but felt it in her best interests to offer her opinion for the record.
"Whatever our decision is, we must be in agreement on it, because once we've made it we can't turn back." she said. Narrowing her eyebrows at the mini-argument between the Chief and Lieutenant Mandelo, she decided to speak, "I believe that it is us who have been interfered with. Our mission has been obstructed, and hindered by these Covenant. We did not make the first move, they did. Seeing that we are so far from home, sometimes it is necessary to think outside the box, ladies and gentlemen." she finished, sitting back down.

Valdora nods. "I agree and lets make one thing clear. This is not a democracy. I have decided that we will aid the Cai'Nari in their attack. What I need from you is advice on strategy and to prepare for it. I will need you all at your very best for this one."

Having been officially designated Wing Commander of the Enterprise's fighters, this gave her the privilege of sitting in on staff meetings. Meetings that she was usually averse to, but managed to tolerate them because it came with the territory.
Now, Danielle sat in her chair, in her normal Starfleet uniform. When it came her turn to speak, she nodded, "Whatever our decision, the flight deck is 100% operational, and the training for additional pilots is going smoothly. We will be ready to carry out the orders given." she said, before sitting down and leaning back in her chair.

"Captain You realize that if we help them we could end up in worse shape then we are now. But on the other side we are in better condition then we were before and we know what we're going up against."

"Well little brother you already have a bad history to begin with. So it was easy to set you up and make it look like your a member of Section 31. All i had to do was find the right moment to enact my plan and poof your out of the picture and everyone thinks your a spy. That means i get off with a clean record. Oh and you won't have to worry about wayne trying to defend you either he's going to have a heart attack this afternoon." Sarah said as she turned around and walked out the internal sensors coming back online

During their meeting in the Lounge the conversation was getting a bit intense. There was no clear direction on what was being said. He himself had no real opinion on the matter. All he knew was the ship was repaired and he needed to make sure the sub-systems are at their peak-proficiency. Unbeknown to the senior staff of the events that occurred in the Brig, but a message did appear on his holographic datapad. A simple and to the point indication that ship sensors went offline. He sucked his teeth thinking it was just another malfunction with the integration of alien tech but before he can pull up the proper commands the sensors returned online. He shock his head knowing it was probably just a glitch on his datapad. How can the entire ship loose their internal senors just like that? He would have to check the ship logs and the diagnostics systems again after this meeting.
