Gordon nodded to his team as they moved forward, dropping out of cloak. "Fix bayonets." he said, fixing the weapon to the end of his old style assault rifle, the others did the same with their own.
Several Covenant rushed at them down the corridor, and Gordon ordered a halt. The two Sgt's dropped to one knee while Rosa and Gordon stood to their sides. "Fire!" he ordered, accurate rifle fire cutting down the first wave of four Covenant, "Stab Forward!" the result being the next four Covenant being impaled on the same number of bayonets and shot, being kicked backwards in unison. "Grenades!" The four activated four fragmentation grenades and tossed them forward, three of the Covenant being injured badly by shrapnel that hit the places where their armor *wasn't* covering. The last one came for Gordon, who pulled out his combat knife in one hand and a grenade in the other. At just the right moment, Gordon threw his knife into an unprotected part of the Covenant's leg, causing him to drop to one knee, then as he was focused on the agony of that wound, Gordon pulled the pin on the fragmentation grenade with his teeth, and quickly shoved it into the warrior's open mouth, retrieving his knife as he rolled forward from the loud and rather gruesome explosion. Gordon's only reaction was to clean the blood off of his knife and pick up his rifle. "It's not far now, let's go."
OOC: I'll post the detention block breach tomorrow sometime.

Malak stood on his darkened bridge, spark, fire and pieces of hull around him. "Very brave" he muttered "but very stupid." "Rançonner! We have intruders" an officer ran up to him. Malak placed hand behind his back as he spoke "Then the Enterprise is near bye. Have the second unit break off and head for that near bye nebula. Use whatever means we have for communication and tell them their orders are to search and destroy." "And the intruders?" "Deploy all warriors, set the self destruct and prepare to abandon ship" Malak said boldly. "Aye...Rançonner" the officer and rushed off to give the orders.
Moments later a good third of the fleet broke off and headed toward the nebula and the Enterprise.
Internally on the flagship alarms sounded as the self destruct was activated. Those that were not of warrior class began to leave their stations and head for the escape vehicles. The Warriors meanwhile all headed down to the detention area to make sure the intruders did not survive this day.

Jade ran her hands over her scorched console, the screen in front of her displaying the results of the best scans they could do. "They have entered the nebula and begun sweeping it. If we stay still it won't take them long" she reports "I recommend we try cat and mouse. We are no match for even one of their ships right now."

"Figs..." The blue hologram looked over the occupied Lieutenant as he laid on the floor underneath one of the many overturned consoles in deflector controls. He had hopped that Randall would have placed the device by now. The Lieutenant needed just one more piece of information to boost the final defenses of the shield to the ship but now was out of time. "Figs..." "I know!" His voice raised to almost a shout as he made what seemed to be a last ditch effort. He was not angry but scared. Enterprise was not amused and diffidently did not like to be ignored by the little boy in yellow. "So I am guessing you know about the capital ship has activated their self-destruct sequence?" Andrew's face appeared with a 'what the heck' expression. "What! You sure?" he asked as he stood up near a barely functional control console. She was right the target vessel was showing basic signs of a self-destruct sequence. Power Core overloading, life pods were being jettisoned. His hand reached up for his combadge, his plan was now forfeit "Figueroa to the bridge. We have a problem." He informed the bridge of his new discovery.

The two teams moved up the corridor, taking down Covenant hostiles quickly, before they come into view of the door and move for it. "Stack Up!" he said, his team getting into position on one side while Kerak's got into position on the other.
Using hand signals he indicated his plan, which was to have Kerak open the door, and throw smoke into the area of the room where the guards were. Then, three members of his team would attach grenade launchers, and fire three special grenades into the midst of the smoke, upon detonation, a gas would be released that would disorient Covenant personnel. After which three members of Kerak's team would throw incendiary grenades into the area and light the guards ablaze.
Using hand signals, he requested acknowledgement of his orders. Seven heads nodded in agreement. Then, he nodded slowly, "Do it." He watched his subordinate open the doors and throw a smoke grenade right into the middle of the group of guards assigned to guard the Captain's cell. Then, Sgt Major Shughart and Sgts Gaz and Griggs stepped into view and fired their grenade launchers, the rounds detonating right on target. Soon it became hard for the guards to breath, but it wasn't over for them yet. Two Romulan men and the lone Romulan woman of Kerak's team stepped into view and threw in incendiary grenades which set the entire area around the coughing guards ablaze, the fire spreading up their armored forms.
"Move In!" he ordered and they breached, having sealed their helmets and activated personal life-support to avoid breathing the fumes and gas. Gordon entered first, shifting right as he took down two enemy personnel. Rosa was next, shifting left as she also took down enemy personnel present, "Clear Left." "Clear Right." they reported, the rest of the teams moving in.
After a minute, Gordon keyed his comm, "All call-signs, area secure?" "Roger that." came the responce from his subordinate. "Alright. Rosa, get on the detention computer, see if you can make anything of it, use any means necessary." "Roger that." "Kerak, take your team and form a defensive perimeter. Gaz, Griggs, search the other cells, see if there are any other people the Covenant doesn't like."
His orders were complied with as he finally walked to the Captain's cell, and soon after the containment was reversed by Rosa, and Gordon walked inside and knelt by the Captain. "1st Lieutenant Gordon reporting for rescue duty. We don't have much time sir." He was going to say something else, but Rosa cut him off. "Randy, From what I can make out, it looks like the Covenant have set this ship to auto-destruct. Our time is maybe 10 minutes to find a way to de-activate it. Unfortunately we have a bigger problem. Seems the entire Covenant warrior detachment is coming to this area." she said.
Gordon nodded gravely before turning back to the Captain. "Sir, my orders are to extract you from here, if you take this," he says, placing the priority enhancer in Valdora's hands. "Shuttle Two-Three will beam you aboard and head back as close as they can to the nebula under cloak. Once they are in position, this transport enhancer will take you directly to Enterprise's Sickbay. Our task will be to find some way to turn off the auto-destruct, or failing that, finding alternate transport." He said.
As Gordon was busy with the Captain however, Rosa had an idea, and decided to put it to good use. =/\= "Shughart to Bravo Team, have the shuttle transport several of your placed explosives to the detention block, and send us some additional charges." One of the Klingons answered. "Of course, Sergeant Major, and may this battle be great." Soon, two sets of transporter beams occurred, one carried additional explosive charges, the other carried several heavy explosive charges. Then she moved to tell the 1st Lieutenant her plan...

Valdora looked up in surprise and as he used Gordon's shoulder to stand he listened to the conversation and orders given. "No...wait. They got a feedback scan from our computer and they will find the shuttles any minuet now. Our only hope is if the Enterprise can get to us. Either that or we find another ship. Order the shuttles to retreat before they are destroyed. And Lieutenant, I do not intend to run off, in fact my chances of survival will be greatly improved if I stay and aid you. And trust me I have motivation." Valdora has never once taken a life, it was considered savage by the modern Valens. But for those created enslaved creatures that would die anyway...he was willing to do what needed to be done to see tommorrow.

He nodded as the Captain filled him in. "Your advice is well appreciated sir." He taps his combadge, "All Shuttle Flights, This is Lieutenant Gordon. Retreat, I say again, retreat to the Enterprise. Ground units will be acquiring alternate transport, relay the message that the high value friendly is secure. Gordon Out."
Before the shuttles left they transported one final supply drop to the detention block. Part of it was pieces for the plan. Gordon meanwhile turned back to the Captain and nods, "Well sir, if you want to do some shooting, we have got just the thing for you." He said, removing the KEW from his transporter buffer and charging it with explosive rounds. "You're locked and loaded, Happy Hunting."
Then the Sgt. Major came over to him and detailed a plan to lure the Covenant warriors into the detention block, and then blow as many of them to kingdom come as possible. Gordon approved the plan pronto, and the Marines present began setting the table. As that occurred, He turned back to the Captain. "If you have any ideas about how to turn off that auto-destruct, now would be the time to say them, sir." he said, before looking down at his right wrist, remembering the Operations officer's request. "And once we leave here we're going to the Computer Core, double-time." he added.

Jade heard the message coming in from Figgs and moments later checked her sensors. "Commander. The shuttles are under attack and returning" she turned her chair to face him "we have to go back. We won't have long to fix the transporters and we will probably be destroyed but we are their only......Commander the hyperspace beacon we were given. I think its time we called in some help."

Valdora shuck his head as he took a weapon. "Unfortunately I did not learn much from staring at cell walls" he replied. He rolled his eyes back feeling the growing pain within him. At that moments commotion began out in the hall which was followed by weapons fire and eventually screams. Valdora ran toward the door, using it as a barrier and firing around taking down two warriors. He then quickly discarded the weapons and pushed his head back against the door preparing himself. He hoped they had soft spots. With that he leaped around and decided to take them on at their own game, hand to hand combat, in a way no human could. He moved faster than the eyes of man could see, his eyes pure white, his fangs withdraw as he leaped over them and moved around like a creature, almost feline in nature. Finally he leaped from the shoulders of one, it falling to the floor as he did, and with a blood curling growl bore down on another and brought his fangs deep into the warriors neck. He heard it cry out and felt its life force pass from it, its heartbeat slow and its life consumed by him. Finally after a minuet he lifted his head up with a gasp, discolored blood covering his mouth and chin. Never had he felt so savage, so alive. Almost at once the colour began to return to his face and the hunger and pain was gone. He once again had control and he dropped the creature and stood slowly in thought and somewhat shame.

OOC: just PM me if I need to edit, we'll still have baddies to fight, I just wanted to spring the nasty trap on them. Gordon watched for the moment as the Captain went to town on the advance party of their warriors. But soon he added his fire to that of his Marines, taking down the rest of the enemies. After that he whistled at the Captain after walking up to him, "Wow, remind me to not get on your bad side. Come on, through the back of the detention block." He said, handing the Captain back his weapon as they went through the back of the detention block and out the rear entrance, where they paused for a moment as more and more Covenant Warriors entered. Then the first phase of the plan activated. Several Marine holograms appeared, and began to make firing sounds at the Covenant force, which currently numbered around one quarter of their warrior detachment. The warriors charged the holograms only to find that nothing was there. One of the warriors, named Esek, squatted down next to a small device, examining it for a moment before picking it up and looking at it, putting directly in front of his armored face. He studied it for a moment as more warriors filed in, and the leader of the new party went to the commander of the first party. "[Are they here?]" "[No, we believe they've fled.]" "[Good, spread out and...]" The commander was cut off due to the sound of the "small device" exploding, taking off poor Esek's head. At that moment, Gordon looked at the larger button on his wrist tricorder. "Burn in hell you Covenant bastards." he said, before pushing it, the trap being sprung as two lines of cloaked claymores that were in an L shape appeared and detonated at the same time, causing great chaos among the enemy. But that wasn't all. The light explosive charges that were laid in the room in an alternating square pattern under the Covenant personnel's collective feet went off as well, decimating the rest of the warriors. At someone's suggestion to move forward, Gordon shook his head, "Just wait a minute, where people die, more come to investigate." Soon enough, around the corridor came a large detachment of Covenant, approximating another quarter of their detachment. These Covenant were smarter, moving in slowly, but they found nothing in the detention block but the corpses of their brothers. Soon the Covenant began to spread out, and as the last warrior walked through the detention block doors, they were shut behind him. They looked around. "[What was that?]" One said. "[Check the rear doors!]" another said, and a warrior went and checked the doors. "[They're locked, we're trapped!]" The next thing that could be heard from the Covenant commander was the alien equivalent of "Oh Shit." as the heavy explosive charges detonated, killing every single Covenant warrior that was trapped in the room. Gordon nodded as the big explosion took place before getting back into command mode. "Alright, let's move! Their buddies are definitely going to be gunning for us now, to the Computer Core!" Then he tapped his combadge. "Lieutenant Gordon to Bravo Teams, head to the Bridge, see if there is a functional control console with which to deactivate the auto-destruct. Advise when present, Alpha Teams are going to try and gain control of their computer system. Out."

As soon as the Enterprise surfaced from the cloud of nebula it came under fire and suddenly all the hardwork done on repairs began to fall apart. She would not last long but she speed toward the fleet hoping that help would be on the way.
