Foley walked over to the Cardassian Commander.
"Take a seat please, Commander" he said gesturing towards one of the biobeds with one hand.
He began running the tricorder over the Commanders body. " Well apart from being slightly roughed up and a little mal nourished you seem to be alright. However we don't know what this new alien race is capable of. You could be a trojan horse for any kind of undetectable virus. Saying all this though , Captain Valdora wants me in a meeting , and you as well. Thats if you feel up to it?" Foley said frowning at the Cardassian.

Even the ships internal sensers are never one hundred percent accurate, the closer you get, the more distorted rather than accurate readings would have been.
Kerek's team would feel as if being funneled through the winding corridors and narrow tubes, one entrance locked only for another close by door to be open. If she had been hunting them... they'd have been caught in a trap by now it seems. Everyone was heading up slowly towards the upper-most reaches of the ship. The description of tank was not the best wording for this situation... whether or not they had noticed anything, circumstances had changed.
She was far ahead of the game as that goes... at least ten minutes ahead of her pursuers as she climbs carefully through the ducts, sniffing the 'prey' through the tight space... she was nearly above the op center, her tail twitching a bit as Gordon would bbe right below her as the door down into the ops center opened for her to fall out on top of the poor young man, straddling over hir hips, whichever way he may ahve been facing as she wags her tail, sniffing him a bit before licking his face, and giving a sour look of rejection as she sniffs elsewhere... hands patting him down before grabbing into his pockets and removing a food ration. She sniffed at it with curiosity... still pinning the Marine to the deck with her weight harmlessly, her eyes returned to their green state as she curiously... albeit cluelessly handles the closed ration packet, starting to gnaw on the outside of it fruitlessly.

Krull nodded "I am sixty years old Doctor, back in the day I would have warned you to escort me there with an armed security detail just in case I was a trojan horse. However, these aren't my youthful days and I am fairly certain I am not a threat to the safety of your ship or fellow crewmembers." Larkon smiled then in a waving motion pointed to the door "Shall we Doctor?"

Foley nods at the Commander.
"Certainly Sir." he says unsmiling and heads out of the door. He and the Cardassian head to the trubolift and up to the observation lounge. As they enter Foley regards the other officers there in his normal expressionless manner and takes a seat at the table.
" Captain , Commander Larkon felt fit to be able to join us in this meeting Sir" Foley said to Valdora.

Valdora looked up as the final member of the senior staff joined them in Doctor Foley and then over at the door where Lt Commander Larkon entered, the doors sliding shut behind him. "Commander" Valdora regarded "please take a seat and tell us what the the hell is going on here. The Hero was dispatched on the same deep space assignment as our own along with the USS Titanic. How long have you been here? What happened to your ship?"

One moment, he was receiving a communication from the 2nd Lieutenant about how their search was not going so well. The next, he's laying flat on his back with the object of their search on top of him. "This is different." he thought as he lay still, observing her actions, and once his ration pack had been swiped, he understood what she wanted.
The rest of his team had pointed their weapons at the canine when their leader was jumped on, but he said, "Weapons down ladies and gentlemen, this dog just wants some food." The rest of them just smirked at him as they lowered their weapons.
He takes the ration pack from her. "You want some food don't ya. Well chewing up the container isn't going to work." he said, opening it and handing it back to her, reaching up to pat her on the head again, "There's more polite ways of getting food, you know."

Krull took a seat, "I assume this is the Enterprise Captain...Valdora if I recall? I know you were not expecting to see the USS Hero so soon Captain but we discovered an unstable wormhole while on course roughly a month ago, our Commanding officer was Commander Naomi Wildman, we were not sure if our ship would hold together long enough but the majority of the senior staff felt it was a risk we had to take, we made it through.... barely, the USS Hero took a hell of beating going through, the wormhole collapsed within seconds of our making it. We found ourselves here, where these people attacked us, our ship could have taken them in better days Captain Valdora but we just didn't have the ability in the shape we were in, we launched escape pods to escape the ship before she exploded, some of the crew made it out like myself other's like the Captain went down with the ship and a few unlucky souls were in their escape pods but just were not far enough away in time."

"And so you were captured" Valdora leaned back in his chair, bringing his hand up to his chin in thought "they saw that the Federation would not be so easily bullied if you had not have been damaged. But damaged or not you would not have been able to survive and direct assault even at full power. And you're right, you are not meant to be here. Your route should of taken you clear of the area but I believe humans have a saying about curiosity. The point your account does make however is that you were attacked. Did they hail you? Ask for your surrender? Try and talk as they have with us?"

Krull still feeling the heart of a Tactical and Security Officer couldn't let it slide "The Hero could have taken them, or took most of them with us" Krull cleared his throat then went back into First Officer mode "We hailed them, we didn't even fire a single shot until a good three minutes after they decide to attack us unprovoked."

"Then this could all be a ploy seeing as they won't take the Federation flag ship at full strength so easily. Comments people" Valdora said and looked around the table.

The rather large, Docile creature whined acutely at having the food packet taken away from her though she soon ceased that, happily wagging her long tail appendage as she didn't just put her muzzle into the ration, she ate it with her hands, still rather unrefined... showing she still had some intelligence and control over her fine motor movements. Setting the Empty ration pack to the side a few moments later, giving a quiet whine as she curiously tilted her head... watching the Lieutenant to see if he'll do anything interesting... It wouldn't be long before Kerek and his team turned up.

"Captain we know nothing of the Covenant. I suggest we proceed with caution. The last thing we need is to be making Enemies out here in the Delta Quadrant." Logan said as he straightened out his uniform and looked at the captain.

Kerak and his team had rushed to ops centre as soon as they heard. The came through and raised their weapons in a ready status as Faith. "Are you alright sir?" Kerak asked, moving forward toward him with his weapons pointed at Faith.
