Giving himself a small bit of time off , Calvin Foley headed towards the doors of the Holodeck. He reached the contol panel and pressed a few buttons quickly.
" Computer , please load programme Foley 1" It took only a couple of seconds for the programme to load and the computer to say " Programme Foley 1 , loaded , please enter"
The doors slid back and Calvin entered the holodeck. He was standing in a small stone courtyard of a large temple that had been built high ontop some mountains , mist and fog swirled everywhere and the holodeck produced a suitable freezing atmosphere to acompany the scene. Foley however didn't shiver once , he had run his favourite Shaolin Himalayan Temple programme many times and like the monks he would encounter he could handle the cold with ease.
Taking a deep breath he proceeded to enter the temple. He entered to the smell of incense and the dim light of burning candles. Sat in two rows leading up to a shrine of Buddha were a dozen Shaolin Monks all depe in meditation. Not disturbing them Calvin sat down at the end of one of the rows and assumed to meditation position he closed his eyes and before sinking into a deep trance said " Computer alert me when two hours have passed" and with that began his meditation sometimes chanting the mantras along with the other monks of temple.

"Two hour alarm" the computer said jerking Dr Foley out of his meditation. He felt calm and refreshed as he got up off the floor and straightened out his clothes. "Computer end programme" he said and watched as the elaborate setting for his holo programme vanished in the blink of an eye leaving nothing but the plain interior of the holodeck. The doors opened at his approach and placed his hands in his pockets as he lolloped down the corridor and back towards his sickbay.

The tuborlift doors opened upon Deck Six, the deck which contained his main object of interest. He was suppose to meet up with the Chief of the Science Department but after dropping of his gear and personal equipment in his quarters his impatience and child heart got the best of him.
He entered the deck with a large smile and entered the first vacant Holodeck. The room was vacant holo-emitters and lines of different colors paraded the small room. Upon his right near the doorway the command panel was visible showing the many commands and options available.
Looking through the library of available programs and stories he found a classic, one he played over and over again since his early childhood.
"Computer Run Program 'Photons Be Free'."
With that the computer responded by generating the famous Mark I EMH. After the slow and detailed formation of the Doc the program began to run allowing for this novel's introduction to be introduced.

After listing to the introduction which he indeed enjoyed listing to, though many of his friends at the Academy found it dull he quite enjoyed it. Unfortunately for him the time was running short and the first meeting will begin soon.
Closing the program he headed straight for the lift taking him straight to the lab.
