"Ah yes Lieutenant, come in" Valdora motioned with his hand "take a seat. I hear you went through Starfleet academy, strange that you would end up a MACO and not an officer. I understand you could of been a full navel lieutenant, maybe even a security chief by now."

He sat down. "I found that MACO suited me better sir, due to my background and prior training. I know enough about security to pull double-duty when I'm not assigned to a MACO mission sir."

"And so you are aboard my ship Lieutenant...but that isn't why I called you here. I just saw on your record that you and your partner are due for medals for your conduct on your last mission. Apparantly there was no time as you had to be called aboard early. I am sure that if we speak to Major Shepard we can arrange for those to presented to you here after this mission is complete" Valdora said.

Greg had Finally got round to finishing the system overhauls, and got them all running, seeing as the enlisted Engineering crew were fresh out of the Academy, and it was more like working with kids than working with Starfleet engineers.
As he got round to heading for the Engine subsytems, and he realised that he hadnt made his way to introduce himself to the Captain. Bummer.
So he made his way up to the Bridge, greeting the new crew as he went, although his mind was on getting there as soon as.
As he reached the bridge, he asked the young operations officer; "Where is Captain Valdora?"
"He is in his Ready Room Sir" replied hastily the Ops Officer
"Excelent, thank you Ensign."
Greg sauntered over to the door, squared his uniform off and rung the bell;
*Ding Dong*

"I would appreciate that very much, sir, but we were just doing what we were trained to do. In war, all of the unnecessary stuff goes out of the window for the most part. In war its about the person next to you." He said, looking at his CO.

The Captain nodded toward the Marine and then looked up at the chime.
"Come in."

"Very well Major we will take all ideas into consideration. please share some of the ones you have." Logan said as saluted the major back "Aye sir. Well i think we should take atleast some of our shuttles and modify them with cloaks, then load them with special science/engineering/marine teams, and have them scout ahead, that way at worst we lose a few shuttles, not the ship, and at best we can launch a multipronged stealth offencive if there is a threat. We could also rig up some extra power generators for the shuttles and boost shields and weapons. Some form of modified phaser for a cutting torch might also be a good idea so we can board them without transporters." Shepard says. "We could also modify the prototype personal shields generators to mask us from the borg sensors, and we could replicate ballistic weapons to negate the borgs abillity to adapt, with underslung compression phasers for an extra punch." He adds as an after thought.

The Captain nodded toward the Marine and then looked up at the chime. "Come in." "Lieutenant Greg Campbell, Chief Engineering Officer, at your service sir. Appologies I have not reported in sooner, I had to go and take a look at the Kindergarten Crew down in Engineering. Had to ship one of them to Sickbay already."

"I understand Lieutenant. I saw there was something on your mind during the breifing. However I am affaid its all we have at such short notice. You will get some more seasoned officers when we return to port" Valdora said up to the Engineer and turned back to Gordon "that will be all Lieutenant. I hope we won't need you on this mission and these shapes are just sensor shadows and mirages." As the marine left the Captain turned back to his Chief Engineer "so how are we doing on what I asked? Whats online, whats not and what is almost there? And please....give me the good news first."

He nodded and left, hoping he wouldn't be needed either, but getting the feeling that he would be.

"Those are some good idea's Major. I'll keep those in mine and get to work on those right away. The other thing is once your men get inside if it comes to that is your first job will be to collect technology and information on the Borg ships."

"Good News......" Greg held it in as much as he could but had to let out a bit of a snigger.
"well for what its worth, the kids have something up, and for what I last saw, was the beginnings of the systems booting up and beiging to begin operational status.
For the rest of it, The weapons might need a bit of a tweek, especially if they want to scratch the borg ships on there last enounter, and as for the rest of the Engineering officers, the sooner the better!"

"Aye sir. If thats the case i request a science and an engineering crewmember be assigned to each squad, my Marines can fight but their no tech experts. I also suggest we make bombs, big ones, with another power to tear this ship appart, maybe something with gravity sheer. So that my teams can plant them and set them off to destroy or disable any ships the Enterprise can't handle." He replies, starting to relax as he was discussing something he was comfortable with, weapons and tactics.
