Greg had continued to repair as much as he could after the encounter with the Covenant....and trying to cruise out of their space. But as there were limited resources, there was little he could do. As the day passed on, the crew was working overtime, but he had ordered them to take some time off, and he had began to relax as he saw that the vital systems were begining to become "fully" functional. But as he relaxed, the missing chunk of the ship was always ticking over in his mind, and he couldn't let himself stop until there was anything of normailty after the battle.
What happens next is simply up to fate, something that had riddled his life with pain, and hard work, but a force that rules everything, so to treat it with respect is something that we should never regret.
He tapped away on some consoles, trying to bring the Advanced Engine systems online, as the sooner he did, the sooner they would leave the scorched space that belonged to the Covenant.
As he continued to work, the turbolift doors behind him opened, He turned, and greeted them....."How may I help you?" [tag - Anyone (New Characters are welcome to begin some character development )

Thomas was reading the Padd he was carrying as he walked to find the chief. He stepped off the turbolift and heard the chief speak. Thomas absently replied. "Chief, I've got the latest Diognostic reports for your approval"

"We've Started to work on the Primary systems that need repairing, we've began to spread onto the Secondary systems, but not at the cost of repairing the Primaries"
