The room was full of activity. Engineering had just restarted the Transporters after preforming repairs on it for the past hour. As the Operations Master of the ship he was required to be present during the whole fiasco. "Try it now." called out one of the engineering team. With that another member began to reinitialize the transporter systems only for it to whine up and explode. One of the power relays in the panels overloaded causing many of the team to jump in fright. No injuries though. Only the Lieutenants disappointment with another delay. 'Greg was right about the team.' Most of them were his age but and he knew how nervous they felt. Unfortunately for him he was a Senior officer now and he could not show any thing but confidence. He took a step forward and took a repair tool from the hands of a crewman and began to repair the panel himself. In what seemed like a second he handed the tool back to the man and went straight for the main console. With the push of a few buttons the transporter came back to life. No mishaps. "You have to watch out for the secondary circuits. They don't seem to do anything but they have a purpose. Make sure you memorize the schematics again before your next shift, crewmen. That goes for the rest of you too." The team looked at each other before getting back to work, grabbing their gear they left the room to continue working on the deck's power relays.

"Sir, with all due respect can you leave the pep talks to me" Thomas said as he entered to check up on them, with his usual Blunt personnea "They've got enough on their plates with the chiefs constant patronising to get lectures of the Operations department"
