Being informed Valdora stood. "What the hell? Ready phasers...." "I would not advise that sir" replied the officer at ops "its shields are at only 5% which is enough to block our transporters but if we even fire a half powered shot, what with all that damage and years of floating in space it could tear that old ship to shreads." "Dam!" He sat and slammed his chair arm before opening a com to the CIC "Major what the hell are you talking about with those weapons? We don't even know what we are dealing with."

Makoto had sat in the Intel office, pulling up all information available on the Potemkin. It took some doing on her part, but after a time she was finally able to gain access to the Potemkin's command codes for both CO and XO.
She then transferred the information to a padd and walked out of her office, heading into the turbolift and taking it to Deck 1.
A couple of minutes later she stepped out on the command bridge to see the Captain in a comm call, and stepped closer. "Sir, Intel sends its findings on the Potemkin, including command codes to try in order to regain control of the ship." she said, handing him the padd with the information on it.

"Captain, the adaptive phasers at full power can turn a spec ops marine with adaptive shielding into a smouldering wreck with a single shot. It's the away teams best chance to stop whatever attacked the good doctor, and likely the entire crew of that ship. Energy beings tend to be resistant or immune to most weapons, but an APP at full power set as i ordered should destroy, wound, or atleast slow whatever is attacking them down. Sir i think its their best chance." Shepard replies. Hearing Gordons call Shepard switches lines and replies. "Lt. get a second team togather and join the first evac team, you're on heavy weapons, pack atleast one of everything, if one weapon has no effect, switch to another and try again. Shepard out" Switching lines again Shepard calls the first squad led by Kerak "Lt. Kerak, get your team to that ship! double time, they need backup!"

=/\= "Roger that, out." He switches comlines to three Marines, Sergeant Major Shughart and Sgts. Gaz and Griggs. =/\= "Sergeants, report to the Armory, we're suiting up. Briefing while we do, move!"
Gordon double-timed it to the Armory and suited up in the full marine armor with the adaptive shields and helmet. His team members arrived shortly thereafter. "Okay listen up, one of our away teams has come under attack from unknown hostiles, we're being sent in as backup to 2nd Lieutenant Kerak's team. Pack one of everything, if one weapon doesn't work we'll keep switching until one does. Any questions?"
"Rules of Engagement sir?" Gaz asked, "Do not engage unless cleared to do so, there are friendlies aboard that ship after all." "Roger that." "Any idea what we're up against sir?" Griggs asked next, being a heavy weapons specialist. "The data from the away team was inconclusive at best, to save you all of the scientific mumbo jumbo its basically an energy being with no existing threat assessment. Be prepared for anything. Primary objective here is to find and neutralize this being or beings. Secondary objective is to ensure the safety of any naval officers we encounter. Codenames this mission: Sgt. Major, you're One, Gaz, you're Two, Griggs, you're Three. Move out, we dust off in 5."
Gordon's own loadout was this: an M4 SOPMOD, two APPs, two ACWs, one APC and one APR, The others were loaded out similarly.
Five minutes later the team was aboard the shuttle, and the Marine pilot signaled the Bridge that she was ready to depart.

Foley slowly opened his eyes. His head felt groggy and it was throbbing heavily. "Is it gone?" he muttered trying to pull himself up to his feet he got halfway up and his vision blurred and the tall man slumped back down to a sitting position.

Captain Valdora though to himself with a deep exhale before replying "Alright Major. But if nothing works get the hell out of there. We are going to try and lower their shields now." At that moment Lieutenant Hikari approached and handed him the information. "Operations!" He called out. "Yes sir?" "Get this transmitted to the Potemkin and get her to lower her shields" he ordered and then looked over at the Intel officer "Well done. I just hope the codes haven't been changed."

:-*Aye sir Kerak made his way out of his barrack, running down the hall and ordering his team up and out. Moments later they stood geared up and on the hangar deck. "But sir if the shields are raised" protest one soilder. "They are trying to lower them on the bridge now. Otherwise we will punch through with the shuttles phasers and minimal power" Kerak replied. He watched as the other soilders all looked at each other, he could see their thoughts even if they didn't speak them. 'Does this Romulan even care about them? What if he gets it wrong. "Alright!" He called out snapping them to attention "move out!" The team loaded onto three shuttle transports. Kerak sat in the back left ones cockpit beside the assigned pilot and nodded to him. "Right lets go." The shuttles lifted off the deck and headed out through the forcefield and into open space toward to Potemkin. "CIC, Major. The ship shields are still up what are my orders? Over."

Foley slowly opened his eyes. His head felt groggy and it was throbbing heavily. "Is it gone?" he muttered trying to pull himself up to his feet he got halfway up and his vision blurred and the tall man slumped back down to a sitting position. "For now" she whispered. She knelt now on the sickbay floor with Foley's head on top of her lap. The last she had heard they were going to be transported and then...nothing. "My combadge has been cut off. But I think the Enterprise knows the situation."

Valdora though for a moment before responding to the Major. "Stand bye Major. Ops?" He turned toward the ops station. "I am imputting the code.....dam! Nothings happening." "They changed the code" Valdora nodded to himself and opened the channel back to Major Shepard "the shuttles might be able to get through simply by raising the power of their own shields. I don't want to take any risks Major."

"Sir, I highly suggest not doing that." It was the Ensign. He was currently in the Lab monitoring the comlink and sensor data with his team. "The difference in the shield technology is too great. If you ram the shuttles through the all ready fragile shields it would be like hitting a glass vase with a hammer, sir.
