She looked at him, and her own face went a light shade of red, a small smile on her face, "Y..yes she did. It surprised me."

Trying to regain his composure he continued along with the initial conversation.
"Lead the way." He said with a shy smile. They began their walk to the Science lab where a war zone most likely awaits.
OOC: Not sure if you want continue here or start a new one at the Science Lab or start a fresh new one else where.

OOC: New one at the science lab for our walk there.
IC: Later on, she had returned to her quarters and taken a shower, and now she busies herself with cooking dinner. As she was about to eat, the door chime rang, and she got up to answer the door.
[TAG: Anyone.]

OOC: Continued from the Turbolift 1 thread.
She sat there and held the Ensign as he cried on her shoulder. She wondered what had gone on, but decided that he'd tell her when he wanted to, and just held him further. Eventually they stood, and she took him to her quarters, and entered, sitting him down on the couch and then sitting next to him, putting an arm around him. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Memories, an old feeling that I thought I was over." He said looking towards the ceiling. "But that kind of emotion never does leave you does it?" He asked to no one in particular. "It was an accident a few years ago while I was still at the Academy." Enterprise was listing in closely as well. "But I am unsure if you would care to hear it. It's a long tale." This time he looked in Makoto's eyes his eyes still in pain but calmer now while in her presence.

"If you would like to tell me, I'm here to listen." she said, pulling him closer to her in a hug.

He sighed giving in to her charms he opened up. "During the early stages of the Holosuit development a Doctor or Senpai if you would in the field of hologram and AI research came up with an idea that holosuits could open a way to actually developing AI." He took a sec to remanence. "She was a brilliant and wonderful person. She was like a sister I never had. We had our share of laughs and fights but we were always close or as close as one could get." A smile emerged as he told his the good times of his life but it quickly vanished as he continued. "She had a theory that if we could turn a human into a hologram we could in theory work backwards and find the way to true sentient in any AI program. She volunteered in an experiment of the holosuit to try and capture the human mind as data but, their was a flaw in the program and well." His eyes shut trying to hold back the tears. "The safety protocols were not engaged due to the limitations on actual brain interaction. She wanted to collect as much data as possible in relation to this interaction. The very same program I designed to analyze the activity backfired. She died that day due to a neural overload caused by the faulty program." Tears fell down his face as he began to cry once more. "She trusted me and I killed her."
Enterprise was still listing and she too began to cry in her own way feeling sorry for what the Ensign was going through. She so much wanted to tell her the truth but, she couldn't.

She listened to his story, and nodded slowly, feeling the amount of pain that weighed on his mind. As he began to cry again she moved and sat on his lap facing him, letting him cry on her shoulder while she hugged him again. "There there, it'll be alright." she said, patting his head with one hand.

His heart felt lighter as he let out his tears of sorrow and pain. He fell asleep in this weird limbo of emotions as his body still ached from the days before.

she nodded as he fell asleep. "He'll feel a little better when he wakes up again." she said, getting up off of him and picking him up, carrying him into her bedroom and putting him in her bed . She also put a blanket over top of it then planted a brief but subtle kiss on his lips before nodding, "Sleep well, Andrew-kun." she said.
Then she walked back out into the quarters area, "Enterprise, I get this feeling that there's something you're not telling me." she said.

Enterprise appeared before the Lieutenant. No emotion could be detected on her face or features. "I am sorry Lieutenant Hikari, that is classified information even to you ma'am." She sighed, "But I can tell you he was not responsible for the accident. Instead he was the one in the suit when it occurred."

"Right, I have connections, but this isn't a matter of Starfleet security, so I'll let it slide. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going out on a limb here...part of you came from her, didn't it?" she said, referring to the former colleague.

"Very perceptive Lieutenant, in a way I am a part of her but at the same time I am not." She did not move nor did her face change. "I was created by the Doctor to be a Starship AI system for improving ship capabilities. The Doctor did add new coding into my original program after the accident but I am still just a program."

"I see. So in a way I was correct, Thank you Enterprise, or is there a name you'd prefer me to call you?" she asked, showing without knowing it that she was a fan of the Ensign's idea that the AI should be treated as a member of the crew.

"A name?" bewildered by the question she did not have an immediate response. She was never asked that question before. "My program indicates that I should be called by the same name as the vessel I inhabit."
