Her standard holo-deck training simm included either her in her workout clothes, or her in her Armor, testing its limits on the holographic structures, objects, physical tests. She would run these tests countless times... but she only desired one program to run it all. The holo-decks don't accommodate her wish properly, forcing her for three. One for her athletics, and the other for Armor training, the third being a battle simulator.
T-1
Both training courses would be beaten in times impossible for humans to accomplish, if at all. The physical course extended the entire holo-deck in a Jungle environment, an obvious path to follow with not so obvious traps in the holographic landscape which caused the program to restart. The trees and vegetation were thick and covered up several feet in front, the sturdy branches of the giant trees serving as ways to bypass traps quickly without going around. Mid-way through the course an enormous holographic rock blocked a narrow passage-way, designed with a few ways around it, the hardest way being moving it, the second, almost as hard, over it, multiple ways of doing each method successfully. The last part of the course was more of a straight run to a holographic federation officer after getting through the narrow corridor. This one could be failed by getting trapped, or failing to move the rock in time, forcing the simm to restart you.
T-2
The second Simm was a simple outdoors plains-land area bordering a forest, with a holo-graphic version of herself in armor, several walls of various materials made of various metals and stones. The other side of the room consisted of a squad of various Species around the alpha and beta quadrant and their various weapons. This was a sandbox simm, and could not be failed.
T-3
The battle simulator was set in a heavily forested environment and it produced wave after wave of random holographic soldiers ranging from federation troops to the borg, wielding a random weapon on a random setting, some shields, some not. The program was simple, keep fighting until what would have been a killing blow on you registers. This program is highly unlikely to have been approved... inducing pain in the nerves but no actual damage when being hit, killing blows produce no pain however. Waves started at one man, and multiplied by two every round, each wave starting with better and better equipment.

The young Ensign entered the Holo-deck, his outfit was the strangest and oddest thing to be seen on a small frame such as himself. He wore a skintight black suit with multiple wires and circuits all connecting to a make-shift data-pad strapped around his left arm.
He seemed anxious as he looked up only to realize another simulation was all ready in progress. His smile dropped as he saw a heavily forested area, no one in sight.
He was about to leave for another Holo-deck until he heard the sounds of phaser fire, clash of metal and the occasional explosion. His curiosity got to him.
"Enterprise, what simulation is this?"
Doctor Faith Nomonor's battle simulation dubbed T-3. She responded without materializing in her familiar blue glow.
"Elaborate."
She began to explain the fundamentals of the program and basically informing the Ensign that it was a Survival match with no clear victor. The Ensign's smile returned.
I highly advice not participating in this program, Ensign Figs. You do not have the necessary combat experience nor the physique for this simulation.
"Enterprise, interface with the holo-suit Prototype Mark Two." He began messing with his strapped relic of a data-pad while taking steps into the simulation.
Interface Complete. Again I highly advice not participating with this simulation. Though the safety protocols are on, the pain though simulated is real. That device is... but the computer A.I was cut off.
"Doesn't matter. What better way to test my device is there if I do not take a risk? Enterprise, generate a Great Sword; length approximately 1.5 meters in length including the hilt, .25 meters in width and about .025 meters thick. Double Bladed."
Out of what material, Ensign? though if she actually felt it or not, her voice had a hint of annoyance.
"Tritanium."
The computer began to generate the specified blade in front of him with the blade piercing the ground as if awaiting to be used. He proceeded to walk up to the blade marveling in it's beauty. Though not a man of war, he appreciates the art of it but is only familiar with it in the many holo-simulations he ran as a kid ranging from fantasy and reality.
The blade was black ranging from the hilt to even the hand guard reaching to beyond the ground. He began to reach for the blade garbing the hilt with both of his scrawny arms. He then proceeding in lifting, or say failing at even moving the sword from it's home. Though a simulation the blade was unrealistically heavy and unusable to a human or even to most humanoid species.
After assuring the blade was what he desired he began to fiddle with the device strapped upon his arm. It was then Enterprise began to warn the foolish young man.
Figs, please reconsider that suit still contains high risk of...
"Stop it you sound just like the...." Memories of the Academy began to flow through his head but shook them away as he finalized the program he wished to activate on his holo-suit.
"Enterprise, please record the experiment into my personal file under, 'Experiment Mark two test six'." In an instant his body began to change. Photons and particles of light began to encircle him covering the black skin-tight suit.
The light began to fade now revealing a new body and form. The scrawny figure was now replaced by buffed more athletic form. New armor and clothing now replaced the holo-suit from before. He now wore a sleeveless black turtle-neck sweater vest held in place by two brown leather straps leading to a black armor plated belt around his waist. Faded black Shoulder pads were attached to the vest as well. He also now wore black tactical pants and brown leather combat boots. His makeshift Datapad still remained strapped to a new long black leather glove on his left hand while wearing a short black one on his right. His face remained unchanged however.
He proceeded to garb the sword with one hand this time, lifting the blade with ease. He placed the blade onto his back attaching it to a magnetic device that came with his new attire but only after twirling the blade in the air with his hand.
"Begin Test."

Faith was notified immediately of someone else entering her simulation... she was already on wave eight on this set of training, in her light combat suit instead of the bulky experimental suit she herself had made.
While this suit had been shielded, it had been made more form fit for her to maximize her maneuverability and speed while keeping a shield of similar power, the helmet customized to shield the sides of her muzzle and top of her nose. Odd flexible ear-covers going up the back of her ears, a dark tinted visor covering her eyes to provide tactical information. as a head cover that went back around her head and down her neck. Leg plates on the front went down to the same kind of flexi-pads for her ears, but heavier duty, in-laid on her feet with metallic claw-covers of some kind. Her boots were in the same manner... though had been fingerless with the exception of covers like her feet extending down over top of her fingers and claws flexibly. Her tail was not armored, simply free roaming behind her.
This suit still had the combat medic software that her other one had, but had less room for extra gear. Two holsters, one for a pistol, and another being an omni-holster, able to carry a small assault rifle type weapon or smaller. She simply carried two pistols, not using either right now. The holograms in her simulation still acted real, but as she had only seen one enemy in this wave... she hoped this new 'player' was ready for her caliber of game as she flew through the forest like a ghost as she ran at top speed, nearly unhindered by the unique armor.

So far the forest seemed quiet a far different environment then it was previously. His new sword still attached to his back as he continued in his stroll.
Initiating Combat Phase. stated Enterprise.
The Ensign's eyebrows were raised at this and asked if the announcement of an encouter was part of the Training Program.
No, but after analyzing your holo-suit programming I thought it would be a nice touch for your test.
The Ensign smiled.
"Just like the holo-games back home."
Two warriors appeared, one in the front and one in the rear. A pincer attack. The one in front was a Romulan dressed in an old grey garb of the 24th Century and equipped with one Romulan phaser pointed directly at the Ensign. The warrior behind Figs was a Klingon warrior in full ceremonial battle armor and equipped with a bat'leth. An odd pair since both species were at each others necks for decades.
The Romulan made the first move firing the phaser. With enhanced reflex the Ensign grabbed his ship hull sword blocking the phaser full force. Unfortunately this left his back exposed to the Klingon.
With no real program sense of honor the Klingon rushed forward with his blade of honor ready to stab the poor Ensign. Andrew's stance was not adequate to counter attack a rear assault. His blade was wielded in a diagonal angle with the hilt closer to his left side. His feet planted firm on the ground to withstand the phaser blast from the Romulan.
The Ensign released his grip of the sword with his right hand to input a new command into his datapad, his left hand maintained the sword's position. The word Reflect appeared upon the screen and in a flash he reattained his double grip on his sword and sent the phaser's own blast back to the weapon. With the same motion used to reflect the blast the Ensign continued his full 180 spin dropping down to one knee and sliced the Klingon and his blade of honor, in half.
As the Klingon's holographic projection faded to nothing the Romulan's now melted phaser laid upon the ground near his feet. Anger and rage appeared across his face but before he could make a move the Ensign inputted another command in his datapad, his sword held on with his left hand.
The word Fire appeared and raised his right hand, palm open and directed towards the Romulan. A ball of great heat and engulfed in red hot flames appeared hurling towards the Romulan ending his short holographic life.
Placing the sword back in it's magnetic holder Andrew began to input another command in his device. This time the word Haste appeared. In a flash he dashes forward towards the next confrontation.

Faith had been silently stalking along the path with great speed, weaving in and out of the trees instead of taking the road as that was a sure way to get caught by the programmed AI of each individual soldier that roamed the woods looking for them to 'eliminate' them from her 'game'.
The AI of the program was individual, each having random levels of hearing, sight, and authority, meaning that there was one of each wave that commanded the rest. That being said, he provides tactics and sorts through the Scout reports and combat Data in order to best counter the 'players'.
Her approach had been a stealthy one, silently... as silently as one could anyway, mauling enemies to death who'd wandered away from their groups as she made her way towards where she knew Ensign Figueroa was, she could smell him, unlike these holo-graphs... which only emitted pre-determined sounds. She didn't get to kill to many... maybe about ten, a small number at the large platoon size of enemies roaming the forest.
Oddly, she felt the Ensign's pleasure in the game-like situation... wondering if it would change if he got shot by a weapon.

Randall entered the program, receiving the same warnings, but still partaking in the exercise. His equipment was a black tactical helmet, his Marine armor, with additional body armor over his chest and legs. In his hands he held the M21 Sniper with a sound suppressor, and on his back was the M4 SOPMOD equipped with a bayonet. An MP5SD was also stored in his transporter buffer, and his M1911A1 pistol was stored. Concealing himself in the forest, he took the first sound suppressed shot from the M21, the head of a cardassian hologram being split in two by the force. He squeezed off three more shots in the same manner, a Romulan falling with one shot to the head, and a Klingon falling to one shot through the heart and one shot through the head. The sound of return fire soon reached his position, not hitting him but making him aware that his enemies had found out his position. Therefore he retreated to another firing position and scoped down range..

Walking into the program in full marine armor Shepard looks around and then brakes into a run. Armed with an ACCW, a pair of APPs, and a KEW, Shepard readies his KEW and sets to find the others. He knew Lt. Gordon, and ensigns Nomonor and Figueroa were here. Now he just had to find them.
After a minute or so he runs into a squad of three Nausican raiders. Coming to a stop he raises his KEW and fires three times, to the sight of three Nausicans falling as flames lick out of their chests. Incindiary rounds, a gruesome but effective weapon. Moving on he begins to track down ensign Figueroa.

He continued his silenced sniping, taking down a Nausican with one shot through the throat and one shot through the heart. The 1st Lt. squeezed his trigger four more times, another Romulan, a Jem'Hadar, and two Cardassians falling to his accurate fire. He reloaded his magazine and relocated to another firing position.

OOC: Just to clarify the some of the warnings were for the Ensign specifically as he is not a combat specialist. Since you are a Marine you have the training and experience to use the simulation to it's fullest. Figs only has very basic training in combat and below average physical condition. This simulation is a serious an intense Training program (If I were to assume it to be correct that is) and not a game. Sadly, the Ensign sees it as a game while knowing it to be a Training program. If he didn't he wouldn't be having fun. Also sorry for the very long post, had a lot of info I wanted to cover before I meet up with the others.
IC:
The Ensign still moved forward like a blur, split second afterimages were formed as he moved ahead. The Haste program increased his all ready enhanced speed even further. Though this effect was only temporary.
His Haste faded after leaving the last combat area where he was in a clearing in the forest.
Initiating Combat Phase. Enterprise's voice could be heard. the Ensign immediately crouched down behind the nearest tree just before the clearing.
With that five new warriors appeared, Federation Marines Decked in full heavy assault armor. Though their equipment were outdated, the Ensign Estimated early 23rd Century. Three stood in the center close huddled together they appeared to be looking at something. They were close enough that one horizontal slash would take care of them. The other two were positioned on opposite sides of the center group. They appeared to be the lookout. Fortunately they were no where near him and the direct path to the center group.
Caution, this encounter is significantly more difficult than the last one Ensign.
"It's a trap." He stated while observing the group ahead.
How did you know Ensign?
"They haven't looked this way." Enterprise asked for a further explanation in what he meant.
"Look," he pointed specifically to the lookout on the right. "This entire time that troop looked in all directions at least three times by now but he's been avoiding this direction while doing so."
His deep understanding of Holo-programing and A.I scripting allowed him to understand certain conditions or events that were to happen next, such as a boss fight or a cut-scene.
"They are giving me the opportunity to strike the center of their lines. Indicating either explosives or snipers in the distance." His face began to show signs of worry, he began biting his right thumb analyzing an alternative but, his only option available was...
So what are you gonna do now?
His smile returned, his confidence and courage waved across his face.
"Spring the trap."
With that he sprang into action his forward momentum was swift, even without the Haste program activated. One of the three troopers' head sprang up seeing the Ensign's approach pointed in his direction revealing the threat to the others. The two other men turned around grabbing their weapons but it was too late. The Ensign's swing was all ready at its end with legs bent to provide full momentum. In a flash the three Marines vanished in a brilliant light show.
The lookouts' attention was now placed on their sword wielding foe. There guns taking aim, but the Ensign's intention was to spring forth again towards the one on his right before he could fire a shot. He twisted his body facing directly at his targets and, nothing...
His feet did not move. He looked down only to see two hands, Borg hands piercing the ground from below grasping the Ensign's feet in an extreme grip. Even his enhanced abilities were no match at two cybernetic lifeforms and the ground they laid beneath. He looked up in time to see the light of the weapon emerging from his foe. No time to second guess he brought his sword around in time to take the full blow but his back was again revealed. This time the attack was synced, as the sword took the first hit his back took the second. More specifically his left shoulder.
The pain was intense, the beam pierced through solid flesh leaving only the burnt smell behind. The suit was damaged as shown with the quick flicker of the Ensign's body. The damage to the suit was minor but the wound, was real. The grip on the sword loosen but he had no time to loose, he began the same Reflect program from before disarming the Marine in front. Inputting another command into his data-pad the word Throw appeared.
With this he threw his Great Sword forward in an arc knocking out the same Marine out of the simulation. The sword continued to spin and began to make it's way back. No time to loose he had to move before the rear attacker had a chance to attack again.
He inputted another command, two this time. The words Quake and Float appeared. With this a yellow glow appeared around his hands and around his feet, the death grip of the two Borgs was not hindered.
The Ensign Clasped his hands together and then proceeded to give the ground beneath his feet a good right hand punch. The ground began to shake, the earth where he stood began to sink upon itself. The roar of the land forced the remaining Marine to miss his shot just over the Ensign's head. A endless fissure appeared revealing and absorbing the two buried Borg units. There grip loosened just enough for the Ensign to break free.
He jumped away from the hole as if walking on air, and just in time to avoid the return trip of his sword. The other Marine did not know what hit him as the massive blade made quick work of him. The blade's momentum did not stop and continued deep in the foliage, beyond the Ensign's view. The Float program ended allowing his feet to touch the ground once more. Just as he began to head for his blade a shot was fired. The shot went straight though his right bicep tearing through the muscle. A sniper.
The pain was fierce, more intense then the phaser shot. Unlike the first this one was a high-speed metal projectile that hit. As such the wound was not clogged and blood began to drop, his.
There was an error in the initial programing of holo-suit, the holo-deck safety protocols did not apply to the holo-suit. As such the holo-deck simulation treats the user of the suit as any other hologram, thus wounds and even death can occur. The Mark two could have easily fixed this problem but the Ensign did not install it due to priorities.
He ran for cover behind the nearest tree. He dropped down sitting on the base of the tree. He began to reach for the data-pad on his left arm but was unable to move his right hand. The damage was extensive. He tried to left his left arm closer to his right but was unable to lift it as well. The pain in his shoulder prevented him.
There was one program that can reverse the damage, since the suit and the user are treated as a hologram the damage to both the user and the suit can be reversed but, if the holodeck simulation were to end prematurely the damage would remain.
He laughed as the blood began to cool, his holodeck role, the character he chose to play was still present in his mind.

As he retreated through the forest he heard the whistle of a sniper shot as it whizzed past him and struck something else. From the sound of impact he concluded that it was probably a human instead of a hologram. Quickly judging the trajectory of the shot in his mind, he went prone in the underbrush, and pointed his rifle in the direction that he calculated, steadying it while taking a deep breath and praying he was correct as he pulled the trigger , the high velocity round going straight into the sniper's chest and causing him to cry out in pain as he fell from his nest. He then crawled through the underbrush towards the other end of the trajectory, resolving to find the wounded individual.

Bursting into the clearing Shepards HUD quickly located the ensign, rushing over to him Shepard looks down and says "Ensign! What the hell? You're wearing a holo suit in a TRAINING program!?? You crazy fool. Lets see if i remember this right... theres a program to reverse the effects of the suit... What is it... Enterprise, you know it, use it and save the ensign!" Shepard waits a moment, the ensigns form returns as his suit changes back to normal, and with it his wounds vanish.

Light returned to the suit, damage to the flesh began to heal as if by magic. Unfortunately it was short-lived. The suit flicked and the wounds returned.
I am sorry but there is extensive damage to the self restoration circuitry. The Major's face was in disbelief. The suit is a double edge sword indeed. The Holo-suit and the Holo-deck form a symbiotic relationship, but if there is damage to the suit the holodeck cannot repair it directly. It needs the suit's self-restoration circuitry to repair the problem. If the Circuitry has been damaged the suit could not initialize the repair.
This suit is a prototype of the Mark Two model. Unlike the Mark one where the circuitry is all located in the data-pad, this suit does not have the luxury.
She then explained this was prototype both developed and modified by the Ensign and was still in the early testing phase as such the vital circuitry was located around and among the suit. The circuitry within the datapad was moved away from the suit to implement the new independent programs the Ensign was developing.
The same Ensign looked up recognizing the Major from his initial briefing. In the underbrush he saw another marine, in similar armor.
"Seems I caused quite a scare."
"Computer Create a simulated voice recognition protocol on the suit." Enterprise complied but another flicker and spark from the suit revealed it was not successful. She indicated the interface between her and the suit has been damaged as well.
"Damn, guess one of you need to input this code manually. Scroll through the list till you find the program Cure, with it's activation a green glow should appear around my left hand. Since I cant move I need you to do the treating. Just pretend its a tricoder and 'scan' the wounds."
Luckily this command feature of the suit is located in the datapad itself so in situations such as this the holodeck can reproduce the self-restoration protocol without worrying about the state of the suit. Cure was limited though as it relied on direct contact, he still had many programming errors and glitches trying to expand his Cure program to be as efficient as the self-restoration software.
OOC: Edit Tried to elaborate more on the Suit. Originally was intended to be just one of a kind but made sense to have the Mark one known. The Mark two is a extension of the first with majority of the programming greatly differed than the first. Majority of the programs used by the Ensign were from his own personal files. The First Suit does not contain the many of the features of the second.

The trio of personnel's chatter would go on for a few minutes longer before they would also hear a male scream bloody murder with a burst of fire for a second... not too far away from them, the holo-gram's voice quite enthusiastic about his pain... so life-like as birds flew over their position from the direction from which the screams came.
Soon after the echoes of a squad leader's voice... no different than the Major ordering his Marines around called out, the undoubtedly wounded man weakly crying for help as her cursed and yelled for his men to secure the area. and a medic.. it was all quite for a few minutes as the men began to feel they were safe.
not long after the voices stopped a sharp lookout and a high pitched snarl, coupled with a variety if weapons fire... then a scream.
"Where the hell did it go?" cried one voice as the other resentfully cried out another man had died and within moments later a bloody gurgle spilled out in echoes as a phaser mis-fire tagged another man with a disintegrate discharge.
"No!" cried the Leader of the troupe... as two men died nearly at once, firing his weapon in the direction of the trio for a moment before stopping as they heard a yell of surprise.
"Let me go! get awa-!" the commander yelled before cutting off into a coughing death lasting a few minutes... all of this transpiring no more than fifty meters into the dense forest... the wind starting to blow as total silence other than the cawing of the holo-graphic crows as the trees and bushes rustled from the wind...

He looked around as he heard the cries of holograms somewhere near, and the cawing of crows...and he nodded, "Sounds like someone's pretty good at stealth," he thought, still keeping his position near the Major and Ensign.

Tapping a few commands into his Omni-device Shepard boosts his shields to max and extends them to cover the wounded man and he bends over to do as the ensign asked. Typing in the command and moving the ensigns arm over his injuries he says "There... did that do it.?"
