Walking up to the Holodeck doors and inserting a data chip, Shepard downloads a program and then says "Load program Shepard three." After a moment the computer replies and he enters the holodeck. He emerges into a vast rain forset on a distant world, mist and fog covers the landscape, and two moons and two stars hang in the sky. Walking along a path he arrives at a shrine, and drawing a Katana, he stands still and awaits what will come.
A few minutes later an Japanese man approaches, his Katana drawn as well. And the two begin to dance. Their blades singing through the air. Clashing for only a moment before they change position and attack again. Parting and joining in a spinning dance of blades. Soon it begins raining, but neither take notice as their battle continues on, the only sounds are of thunder, rain, and the clash of blades...

Elizabeth walked into this simulation. She looked around interested as the rain fell on her and began to drip down her uniform. She then realized that she had gone into the wrong Holodeck by mistake and turned to leave.

After a few minutes of fighting Shepard had stoped and sat down to rest, wearing a lose pear of pants annd no top he was dressed for sparing, maximum movement, minimum hinderence. The computer alerted him to someone entering and he quickly travled up the past to see the ensign leaving, he yells after her "Yes Ensign? Was there something you needed?"

They arrive at the small shrine where he had been sparing and he grabs the tea pot and pours two glasses, handing one to her. "So, welcome to my little hide away. I created this program a few years ago to relax in and get away from my duties as a Marine CO, if only for a few hours. Its a Planet on the edge of the Alpha Quadrant where some Japanese settled to live in peace, away from all the empires and factions and wars. It's a nice place to visit, both in reality and in here." He says as they sit on the ground in the middle of the clear and enjoy the soft rain.

"It's amazing" Elizabeth replied as she looked around the clearing and felt the rain on her face "How long did it take you to create teh program in such detail?"

Taking another sip Shepard shrugs. "A while. I did have surveys and such to go on but it still took time to piece it all together right. The program is expansive, this area is just one amongst many here. Theres a city, several villages, and the whole forest to explore. It's quite amazing how much you can do with a holodeck." He says. "I love the rain and the forest so this was the best choice i think. But enough about this place and myself. I'm sure a fine young Ensign such as yourself has many interesting things to talk about. Indulge a Grizzly Marine would you?" He says with a laugh.

"We'll, I've been flying things since i could walk, i flew a old F-22 at the age of ten, one of the modified ones of course, so i had someone with me" Elizabeth replied "Joined the Academy at 16 and went through extensive flight training for the next several years, was assigned as a fighter pilot aboard the USS Dallas before being assigned to Enterprise"

"Impressive, my marine training was similar. I've been training since i was fairly young for this. Had some tough goes through my career, the battle that got me my promotion to 1st Lt was a tough one. Had two squads to repel an army. But thats what you get for signing up to guard a finge outpost." Shepard replies after taking another sip of his tea.

Pausing to think Shepard replies "Four days. We did have a mortor, but we ran out of thumpers the first day, and plasma shells just don't scare off an enemy like a thumper does. But we managed to hold them for the four days, wasn't easy, lost all but three of my Marines trying to stop them from coming instead, and still ended up fighting in the outpost itself by the last day." His face turns alittle grim at the memory. "But then the flyboys came in and air striked those bastards, and then dropped in support units." he adds with a grin.

Laughing Shepard says "Yes, you have quite a ship to fly." He atkes another sip of and then looks at Langley. "Have you ever spared with a Katana or a training sword before?" he asks.
